A Level Biology has a reputation as a memory subject, and that is exactly why students lose marks in it. The mark scheme rewards precise terms used in the right order, and data questions reward analysis, not recall. Pre-medical students in particular need high grades here, so we teach the content carefully and train the answer style just as carefully.

Most of our A Level students sit Cambridge International AS & A Level. If your child is on a different board, such as Pearson Edexcel International A Level, tell us the units and we will confirm honestly whether we can help.
What the syllabus covers
AS Level: cell structure, biological molecules, enzymes, cell membranes and transport, the mitotic cell cycle, nucleic acids and protein synthesis, transport in plants and mammals, gas exchange, infectious diseases and immunity.
A2: energy and respiration, photosynthesis, homeostasis, control and coordination, inherited change, selection and evolution, classification, biodiversity and conservation, and genetic technology.
Students sit Paper 1 (multiple choice), Paper 2 (AS structured), Paper 3 (advanced practical skills), Paper 4 (A Level structured) and Paper 5 (planning, analysis and evaluation).
How we teach A Level Biology
Every student starts with a topic-by-topic diagnostic. "Weak at Biology" is not specific enough to fix: we need to know which topics lose marks, and whether the problem is understanding, recall or exam technique.
- Diagnose: a short test across the specification, marked against real Cambridge mark schemes.
- Rebuild concepts: we fix the underlying idea first, because technique built on a shaky concept collapses under exam pressure.
- Past-paper cycles: topic-wise questions first, then full papers, learning the command words and exactly what examiners credit.
- Timed practice and tracking: full papers under exam timing in the final weeks, with progress tracked topic by topic.
Classes are live online in groups of 3 to 5 students, or one-to-one when a student is starting late, retaking or has very specific gaps. Sessions are recorded for revision, and parents get honest progress updates on WhatsApp. We teach students across Pakistan (Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and beyond), the Gulf, the UK and North America.
Where students usually lose marks
- Imprecise terminology, such as "food" instead of glucose or "energy is made" instead of released
- Long answers on respiration, photosynthesis and homeostasis that miss key steps
- Genetics problems with crosses, chi-squared tests and probability
- Data and graph questions that need trends quoted with figures
- Practical skills: drawing from microscope slides, magnification calculations and experimental planning

Frequently asked questions
Is A Level Biology tuition suitable for pre-medical students?
Yes. Many of our A Level Biology students are on the pre-medical route. We focus on the grades and the precise answer style that medical admissions need.
Do you help with the Biology practical and planning papers?
Yes. We teach biological drawing, magnification, data tables, graphs, statistics and experimental planning using past Paper 3 and Paper 5 questions.
How early should a student start A Level Biology tuition?
Ideally at the start of AS, so foundations are secure before A2. Students who start later get a diagnostic first so we can prioritise the topics worth the most marks.
Do you offer one-to-one A Level Biology classes?
Yes. Small groups of 3 to 5 suit most students; one-to-one suits retakes, late starters and students with specific gaps.
