A Level Accounting is a subject where small errors cost big marks. A wrong format, a missed adjustment or a figure carried incorrectly can undo a long answer. Students also need to write: explaining and evaluating accounting decisions is part of the paper, and many students neglect it.

Most of our A Level students sit Cambridge International AS & A Level. If your child is on a different board, such as Pearson Edexcel International A Level, tell us the units and we will confirm honestly whether we can help.
What the syllabus covers
- Financial accounting: double entry, the accounting cycle, adjustments, financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, and statements of cash flows
- Analysis and interpretation: accounting ratios and how to use them to judge performance
- Cost and management accounting: costing methods, budgeting, standard costing and variances, and investment appraisal
- Accounting principles: concepts, conventions and the reasons behind accounting rules
Assessment uses multiple-choice and structured questions at AS, with longer financial and management accounting questions at A2.
How we teach A Level Accounting
Every student starts with a topic-by-topic diagnostic. "Weak at Accounting" is not specific enough to fix: we need to know which topics lose marks, and whether the problem is understanding, recall or exam technique.
- Diagnose: a short test across the specification, marked against real Cambridge mark schemes.
- Rebuild concepts: we fix the underlying idea first, because technique built on a shaky concept collapses under exam pressure.
- Past-paper cycles: topic-wise questions first, then full papers, learning the command words and exactly what examiners credit.
- Timed practice and tracking: full papers under exam timing in the final weeks, with progress tracked topic by topic.
Classes are live online in groups of 3 to 5 students, or one-to-one when a student is starting late, retaking or has very specific gaps. Sessions are recorded for revision, and parents get honest progress updates on WhatsApp. We teach students across Pakistan (Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and beyond), the Gulf, the UK and North America.
Where students usually lose marks
- Formats for financial statements set out incorrectly
- Adjustments such as accruals, prepayments, depreciation and irrecoverable debts
- Partnership and company accounts, especially appropriation and equity
- Variance analysis with the wrong sign or label
- Written evaluation that is too short to earn the available marks

Frequently asked questions
Do you teach both financial and management accounting?
Yes. We cover the full Cambridge 9706 content, from financial statements to budgeting, standard costing and investment appraisal.
My child did not take O Level Accounting. Can they still do A Level?
Yes, but they need a strong start. We begin with double entry and the accounting cycle so the A Level topics make sense.
Do you help with the written parts of Accounting papers?
Yes. We practise short explanations and evaluation, which many students skip and lose easy marks on.
Is Accounting useful for ACCA or business degrees?
It gives a strong base for business, finance and professional accounting routes. Check the exact exemptions or entry rules with the body or university you are applying to.
